Get detailed investment holdings across all investment accounts with individual securities, quantities, values, and asset allocation.

Parameters

None - automatically fetches holdings from all connected investment accounts.

Response

Returns comprehensive portfolio view with:
  • Total portfolio value
  • Asset allocation breakdown by security type
  • Holdings grouped by account
  • Individual security details:
    • Security name and ticker symbol
    • Quantity of shares
    • Current price per share
    • Total market value

  • Calls Plaid’s /investments/holdings/get endpoint
  • Joins holdings with securities metadata
  • Groups by account for easy analysis
  • Calculates total portfolio value and allocation
  • Real-time data (within seconds of market updates)

Notes

  • Only available for investment accounts
  • Bank accounts and credit cards won’t appear (use get_account_balances instead)
  • Complements get_account_balances with security-level detail
